Graduate UX Researcher
We are looking for a Graduate UX Researcher to join our multidisciplinary Design team in London.
You will work and learn in product teams, helping to shape useful, usable and memorable customer experiences. You will contribute to Wise’s global mission to build an open, fair and human financial system, because people without borders need money without borders.
Your mission
You will be mentored by several UX Researchers at Wise and collaborate with other Wisers and fellow graduates on cross-functional projects.
We plan our focus areas each quarter, and your mission will be mapped out with your lead. You will have plenty of room to grow and help define your scope.
You will spend the first 10 months in a product team, shaping useful, usable and memorable customer experiences. You will then rotate into a second 12-month placement with a different team, building on the skills developed in your first placement.
At the end of the 22-month graduate programme, you will move into a permanent role in the Regional Squad.
How you will contribute
Build empathy for customers by developing a deep understanding of their needs and helping teams use those insights to make better decisions.
Develop your quantitative and qualitative research skills while working with others to deliver measurable, lasting impact.
Connect research insights with customer behaviour data and analytics to build a more complete understanding of customer needs.
Work flexibly in a way that supports your needs. We recommend spending as much time as possible in the office during your first few months.
Qualifications
Essential requirements
Graduating in 2027 or graduated in 2026 with a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
Able to start a full-time role in September 2027.
Naturally curious about people and ready to question assumptions.
Interested in building a career in User Research or Design Research.
A good understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods, with an interest in applying them in a commercial setting.
Experience taking responsibility for all or part of a project from start to finish during your studies, including planning research, selecting methodology and analysing data.
Ability to clearly explain and justify decisions to other team members.
Confidence discussing key insights, learnings and, where applicable, the impact of your work.
We do not expect you to have a portfolio of UX projects. We are looking for strong social researchers who want to work at pace on impactful projects without the constraints of academia.
Desirable requirements
Understanding of responsive web design.
Curiosity about learning through user testing and iterating on your work.
Knowledge or experience of creating production-ready deliverables.
What you get back
The opportunity to solve real customer problems and have a genuine impact.
