The role

We’re looking for a Staff Product Designer to join the Business Chapter and help shape the experience of the Wise Business product.

You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Content Designers, Researchers, Engineers and Analysts to integrate Wise into customers’ day-to-day financial workflows. You’ll help them send and receive money globally while minimising financial administration and manual bookkeeping.

Our business customers are often not just one person. You’ll design experiences that work for different users across shared workflows, whether that’s Business Owners, Finance Managers, Employees, Accountants or a combination.

How you will contribute

How can we make it easy for small businesses to manage the financial complexity of working globally? How can we integrate with their other financial tools to reduce manual bookkeeping, so they spend less time on administration? How can we support a Business Owner to safely delegate financial tasks while maintaining control?

These are some of the challenges you’ll get to work on in this role.

You will work as the Product Designer within the Business Account Management Squad, reporting to the Group Design Lead. As well as working closely with the other members of your team, you will collaborate with Designers across Wise to deliver consistent, scalable experiences. You will also mentor other Designers in your squad.

Your work will focus on deepening use of the product and building trust with our business customers, so that Wise becomes their everyday account.

  • Own design problems in your team and work through the detail to create solutions that balance designing ahead with delivering incremental value.

  • Build a deep understanding of the unmet needs of business users and how the Wise experience can solve for them.

  • Shape the now, next and future state of the experience, holding the work to the outcomes we have committed to.

  • Bring systems thinking to your work and collaborate with other teams to ensure we create one coherent experience.

  • Build vision with substance through evidence-backed direction that shapes the roadmap.

  • Raise the standard around you through feedback, critiques and skill shares, lifting the quality of design across the squad.

  • Use AI in your daily practice where it earns its place, and show the team what that looks like.

What this role will give you

  • Ship work you’re proud of — Craft experiences that make complex concepts or workflows feel simple, innovative and easy to use.

  • Own your impact — Choose what to work on, define what success looks like, and see your work directly improve the experience of thousands of businesses.

  • Work on something genuinely difficult — Regulatory considerations, multi-user workflows, product integrations, dozens of payment methods and features all have to add up to one experience.

  • Be part of a positive change in the world — Help fix a broken, greedy system and give businesses control of their money.

About you

  • You have been the most senior Designer on a complex product area, owning ambiguous problems end to end. The title matters less than the scope.

  • You think in systems. You have designed something that had to work across many markets, formats or edge cases without fragmenting into special cases.

  • You practise evidence-based design, using data and customer insights to rationalise your decisions clearly and credibly to senior stakeholders.

  • You have a portfolio of well-crafted, impactful work that solves real, complex problems for real people.

  • You default to prototyping, explore multiple approaches, and articulate trade-offs clearly enough to build conviction with senior stakeholders.

  • You have a high craft bar and strong visual skills, and have worked with design systems to produce work that scales.

  • You make the Designers around you better. You design in the open, give direct feedback and share credit.

  • You are already using AI tools in your practice and have a point of view on where they help and where they do not.
