We are looking for a Senior User Researcher with strong quantitative skills to join our centralised Product Design and Research team.

You will focus on our Monetisation and Content clusters, where your work will shape the buying experience, the first 30 days after purchase, Yoto Club and how families discover content in our card store.

You will combine interviews, usability testing and diary studies with survey and behavioural data, taking each study from method selection through analysis and ensuring insights reach stakeholders.

Product Design and Research at Yoto

Product Design and Research at Yoto exists to deeply understand children and families, translating insight into thoughtful, trusted, screen-free experiences across hardware, software and content.

Research at Yoto is already fairly democratised, with Designers actively involved in learning from customers. We are building a stronger, more credible research practice as we grow.

You will join the centralised Research team alongside the Lead User Researcher and Research Operations partner, reporting to the Lead User Researcher.

Your main focus will be the Monetisation and Content clusters: our core e-commerce experience, Yoto Club and subscriptions, and the ways families find content.

What you will be doing

  • Lead research for the Monetisation and Content clusters, working with Design and Product leads to agree what needs to be learned and in what order.

  • Study the family buying experience: how people find, choose and buy players, cards, bundles and digital content; how checkout, delivery and order updates feel; and what happens in the first 30 days after purchase.

  • Understand Yoto Club, including what makes it valuable to families, what joining feels like and how we communicate and deliver that value through the product.

  • Research how families find suitable content for children, including browsing and filters, age guidance, recommendations, upsell moments and the factors that give parents confidence to buy more.

  • Design and run studies including interviews, concept testing, usability testing, diary studies and surveys.

  • Use quantitative methods when appropriate, running analysis such as correlation, regression or driver analysis yourself.

  • Work with the Data team on experience measures and A/B tests.

  • Present findings to Designers, Product Managers and senior leaders.

  • Expand the reach of research by helping Designers and Product Managers plan and run effective research themselves.

  • Brief and work closely with agencies on outsourced research.

What you will bring

  • Significant experience researching digital or hardware products with Product teams, with evidence that your research influenced what was designed or built.

  • Experience studying how people behave with products through methods such as usability testing, interviews and diary
