Role Summary
As a Lead Product Designer focused on design systems, you’ll help shape the future of our enterprise design system for LSEG Workspace. You’ll work closely with designers and engineers to evolve a scalable, multi-platform system that powers experiences for thousands of financial professionals globally.
You’ll contribute directly to the design, documentation, and maintenance of reusable UI elements that enable product teams to build consistent, accessible, and high-quality user experiences. This is a hands-on role where you’ll have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the design language of a flagship platform.
What You'll Be Doing
Design system contribution
Design and document reusable UI elements, interaction patterns, and accessibility standards.
Maintain and evolve our Figma libraries to ensure clarity, consistency, and usability.
Support the development of design tokens and multi-theme systems.
Cross-functional collaboration
Partner with product designers, engineers, and product managers to understand needs and ensure the system supports diverse workflows.
Participate in design reviews and contribute to shared decision-making around system updates.
Advocacy and adoption
Develop and deliver clear documentation, onboarding materials, and guidance to drive adoption and integration of the design system across LSEG Workspace.
Evangelise the value of design systems through workshops, demos, and ongoing support.
Craft and execution
Maintain a high bar for design quality and accessibility across all system assets.
Ensure UI elements are implemented with fidelity and performance in mind.
Contribute to Figma libraries and documentation with precision and clarity.
Continuous improvement
Use feedback and metrics to identify opportunities to improve the system.
Stay ahead of industry trends and bring innovative thinking to how we scale design.
What You'll Bring
8+ years of experience in UX/Product Design, with at least 3 years focused on design systems in enterprise environments.
Deep expertise in Figma, including component architecture, design tokens, and multi-theme systems.
Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices.
Proven track record of driving adoption and impact of design systems across large organisations.
Experience working with engineering teams to implement design systems at scale, with an understanding of technical constraints and opportunities for better design outcomes.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence and inspire across disciplines.
A portfolio showcasing your design system contributions, including strategy, execution, and measurable outcomes.
Experience in financial services or other complex domains is a strong plus.
Thought leadership in the design systems space (e.g., speaking, writing, community engagement) is a bonus.
