UX Australia 2019 talk on AI-generated and mixed realities blurring truth and challenging how we value it. Argues synthetic realities continue a long history of media manipulation, will remake design, advertising and marketing roles, and raises ethics and craft questions for UX as designers increasingly curate AI systems rather than hand-craft every interface.

Inclusive DesignInclusive design identifies who an experience excludes and involves people with different abilities and perspectives in shaping it. Start by examining assumptions and mismatches between a person and the product or environment. Work with people who experience those barriers, then explore solutions that address their needs and may benefit others. Use this approach throughout product and service development, including decisions about interaction, communication and participation. Revisit whose perspectives are missing as the design evolves.
Content StrategyContent strategy sets the direction for content and the system needed to keep it useful. Identify audience needs and organisational goals, decide what content belongs at each point in the user journey, and plan how it will be structured and found. Define responsibilities, publishing workflows, maintenance rules and measures of quality. Use it when content spans teams, channels or stages of a service, especially where ownership is unclear or material becomes inconsistent. Review existing content and the processes supporting it as needs change.
