Role Overview

We're looking for a curious and motivated Product Team Intern to join our team as we grow The Book - our platform that helps businesses build their own in-house talent agencies - plus our exciting AI agent solutions and HR tech partnerships. You'll get hands-on experience in product research, competitor analysis, and helping shape our messaging across our growing product family.

Key Responsibilities

🔍 Competitive Research & Market Intelligence

• Research competitors in workforce management & AI (e.g. YunoJuno, Worksome, SAP Fieldglass)

• Build feature comparison charts to benchmark our offering

• Track trends in AI agents and workforce management tech

• Identify potential HR tech partners and integration opportunities

📊 Business Case & Product Strategy Support

• Gather data to show how our solutions deliver ROI

• Estimate market opportunities across verticals

• Source customer case studies and benchmarks

• Assist with data collection that drives product decisions

🧠 Messaging & Content Insight

• Research content that explains our value proposition

• Capture customer feedback and competitor sentiment

• Support development of use cases and real-world scenarios

• Help test and refine how we communicate product value

🤝 HR Tech Partnerships & AI Research

• Explore innovative HR tools and emerging AI agents

• Investigate tech integrations and system compatibility

• Stay on top of tech trends and potential new solutions

• Flag partnership or platform enhancement opportunities

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Head of Product: Share findings, contribute to roadmap decisions

• Engineering Lead: Research tech feasibility and integration paths

• Product Designer: Benchmark UX, support user research & design insights

Skills & Qualifications

Essential

• Studying Business, Product, Psychology, HR Tech or related field

• Independent, driven self-starter with strong initiative

• Interest in HR innovation, tech, and AI (not traditional HR)

• Strong research and communication skills

• Proficient in Google Sheets/Excel and basic data analysis

• Understanding of SaaS/software business models

Desirable

• Experience in research or market analysis projects

• Interest in AI applications in the workplace

• Familiarity with HR/recruitment software

• Awareness of APIs or how software systems integrate

• Exposure to product development or go-to-market planning

Learning Opportunities
