Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Conceive, design, and ship new products and features that will excite our customers and aim to make their financial lives better 

  • Contribute to and maintain our Design System foundation for iOS, Android, and responsive Web, aligned with our Design Principles 

  • Be autonomous. You’ll take full ownership of your work and are responsible for every last detail, every step of the way

  • Let customers lead the way. Our customers inform us where we are going. Our teams focus on listening to users and letting their needs guide us to the best solutions. 

  • Work closely with Engineering to ensure a high-quality implementation

  • Collaborate closely with research, product, compliance, and the business to find elegant but practical solutions to design challenges 

  • Deeply care about our customers and want to blow their minds with an app experience they would never expect from a financial services product

  • Help to build a strong design culture within the company

  • Foster a collaborative and customer-centric culture

  • Proactively look for ways to improve our Product, aiming for the best-in-class Design 

  • Leverage AI technology to make your daily work more efficient

  • Your designs are evidence-based, and you are a natural at rationalising your decisions 

About You

  • 2-3+ years of experience in product design with a portfolio showcasing your commercial expertise in this area, including your contribution to design systems and cross-platform products

  • You are an expert in Figma. You know how to work with variables and developer mode to facilitate the design handover process to developers

  • You produce pixel-perfect designs and prototypes to best communicate with engineers and other stakeholders. 

  • You have a deep understanding of the latest UI/UX trends and technology standards for iOS, Android, and Web

  • You design end-to-end experiences, following a cohesive Design thinking process

  • You have demonstrated experience with both qualitative and quantitative user research methods. Experience with planning and facilitating user research sessions to better understand our customers and turning insights into actions that drive the product direction

  • You have experience producing visually appealing and functional designs and prototypes with a customer-centric approach

  • You are as adept at exploring the problem theoretically as you are with the visual design of the solution

  • You have a good understanding of performance metrics and experimentation 

  • Your creativity and empathy make you an invaluable team player, capable of inspiring and motivating others

  • You have a strong sense of empathy - you can adopt the mindset of the customer, even in subjects you’re less familiar with

Desirable, but not essential

  • Design degree or related field (e.g., Visual Design, Graphic Design, Communication Design, Human and Computer Interaction).

  • Preferably some experience working within financial services.
