Overview

We are seeking an ambitious and talented Junior UI/UX designer to join our Lloyds List Intelligence product team.

The successful candidate will use their creativity to collect and translate customer insights into functional features and visually appealing designs that have a direct impact on the customer user-experience. Working collaboratively across product, data and technology teams you’ll work across a range of products and initiatives and be responsible for delivering UI mockups, prototypes and product designs.

This is a full-time permanent role reporting to the Senior UX/UI Designer.

This role is a balanced working model between home and in our modern and centrally located UK - London office close to St Paul’s, Blackfriars, and Farringdon with an excellent and a wide variety of services and transport links situated nearby.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product management and development teams to define and implement features across a range of products

  • Execute and deliver through all design stages from conceptualisation to visual design and specification

  • Communicate ideas and value through documented user flows, wireframes and prototypes

  • Promote design guidelines, best practise and standards

  • Translate existing and new designs into a design system

  • Continually build an understanding of customer and market needs across different personas and the value our products deliver.

What we are looking for

Essential

  • At least 12 months experience in UX/UI design and product development with a portfolio showcasing excellent visual design skills

  • Proficiency with at least one visual design and one wireframing tool

  • Familiarity with common user interface design patterns and standards

  • Experience working within an Agile/Scrum development process

  • Basic understanding of HTML, JS and CSS

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Ability to work independently and as part of cross-functional teams working towards common objectives

  • Possess a proactive 'can do' attitude, driving innovative solutions and problem-solving.

Desirable

  • Experience working in B2B or data-heavy SaaS platforms

  • A degree in any discipline (Digital design or computer science related degree’s preferable)

  • Understanding of rapid product development processes and approaches to validate ideas quickly.

  • Knowledge and understanding of designs systems

  • Use of development process tools including Figma, Jira and Confluence
