Job Description

Your team

Product is where ideation, market demand and customer requests go to become a capability, feature, solution and/or tech-enabled service. The UX team are responsible for ideation, research, strategy, definition, and design to determine how we best meet the user’s unmet needs and expectations to evolve and enhance the intelliflo platforms and solutions. We work with various stakeholders and cross-functional teams to synthesize and prioritize demands, continuously delivering value and optimizing outcomes.

Job Purpose

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to help us design solutions that meet the needs and expectations of our customers and their clients. Working with our Senior UXR and other key roles, your expertise in crafting solutions will be focused on ensuring the visual and interactive elements of our products are intuitive, engaging and pleasing to use. You will be responsible for championing the voice of the customer, gathering insight from user testing and usability testing on the designs you create.

We would like this role to be a flag bearer of innovative ideas, pushing the boundaries of what is possible. The financial advisory space is rife with opportunity, where things like AI and automation can help us develop a hybrid advisory experience for both adviser and client. We’d love for you to bring ideas to the table that could take our products to the next level, even if it means challenging industry norms!

Your Role

As a Senior Product Designer, you will lead and own the creation of the solutions for your product area, collaborating with both internal stakeholders and external customers to provide innovative designs and solutions.

What you will be responsible for

  • Taking high-level product ideas, unmet user needs, or business requirements from vision to impactful user experiences

  • Collaborating with product managers, architects and analysts to bring visions to life

  • Designing product experiences for the user that are grounded in user-centric principles

  • Creating visual interface designs to a high standard (we use Figma)

  • Prototyping and testing designs to refine and validate usability

  • Planning and conducting formative user research and translating insights into design decisions

  • Receive and discuss user feedback with product managers, helping to prioritise user pain points and opportunities.

  • Contributing to our developing Design System

  • Effectively communicate interaction and design ideas to peers, leadership, and stakeholders

  • Bring new product ideas and innovations to your product team and the business through visual storytelling.

What you will bring

  • UX design experience in software product design projects; preferably in Fintech industry

  • Experience developing prototypes and designs around customer needs.

  • Experience working in an agile environment.

  • Skilled in using design Software such as (Figma, Dovetail, Adobe, Miro, etc)

  • Strong background in the Design Thinking Process

  • Experience in conducting user research and interviews. Ability to synthesize your findings in powerfully communicative mediums including personas, storyboards, and customer journeys that align and unite the larger team.

  • Proven ability to work cross-team and synthesize feedback and input from business leaders, product management, and engineering.

  • A strong ability to create consistent, accessible and visually engaging interfaces

  • Experience with creating and managing Design Systems. 

  • Ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the company.

  • Bachelor’s degree in UX/UI design, or other related fields

  • Any of the following are valued but not essential:

    • British Computer Society (BCS) Foundation Certificate in User Experience (UX)

    • Certified Professional in User Experience (CPUX)

    • Certified Usability Analyst (CUA)

    • Certified User Experience Professional (CUXP)

    • Nielsen Norman Group (NN/g) UX Certification

intelliflo’s workplace model is designed to capture the benefits of enhanced flexibility while enabling in-person learning, collaboration, and connection when possible. Most teams within our England office work 1-day a week in the office, however, most of our teams within the United States and India operate in a remote working pattern.
