Ticket Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all attendees (“Attendees”, “you”) of the event (“Event”) organised by UX Brighton (“Organiser”, “we”, “us”). By purchasing a ticket, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. All Sales Are Final

All ticket purchases are non-refundable.

We do not offer refunds if you choose not to attend for any reason, including but not limited to changes in personal circumstances, illness, travel issues, or failure to attend.

2. No Cancellations

Once a ticket has been purchased, the booking cannot be cancelled by the customer.

3. Ticket Transfers

If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket to another person.

If you can no longer attend an event, you may be able to transfer your ticket to someone else if the event organiser allows it.

First find the ticket link in your confirmation email. It will have come from [email protected]. If you cannot find it, you can use Tito’s Lookup tool to retrieve it. You will need to enter the same email address you used to register the ticket.

Open it and click on the link to reassign, and enter the details of the person you wish to transfer the ticket to.

You are responsible for arranging the transfer and ensuring the new attendee has all necessary information.

Transfers must be completed before the event begins; late or incomplete transfers may not be processed.

4. Accessibility

We aim to make the Event as accessible as possible.

Please inform us of any accessibility requirements as early as possible by emailing [email protected]

We will make reasonable adjustments where feasible, but we cannot guarantee that all requests can be accommodated.

5. Event Cancellation or Rescheduling

If the Event is cancelled by the Organiser, attendees will be entitled to a refund of the ticket face value.

If the Event is rescheduled, your ticket will remain valid for the new date.

If you cannot attend the new date, you may request a refund in accordance with UK consumer law.

Booking fees or third-party ticketing charges may be non-refundable depending on the provider’s policies.

6. Changes to Programme or Line-Up

Event content, schedules, speakers, exhibitors, and attending companies are subject to change at any time.

Changes to the programme or attending companies do not constitute grounds for a refund.

7. Behaviour & Safety

The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any attendee who:

Attendees must follow all health, safety, and security procedures in place at the venue.

8. Photography and Videography

Photography and videography will take place throughout the Event for promotional, marketing, and documentation purposes.

By attending, you acknowledge that you may appear in Event imagery used by the Organiser.

9. Use of Company Names

By booking, you grant permission for us to list your business name as an attendee or exhibitor.

Company names are listed for information only.

Listing does not imply sponsorship, partnership, or endorsement unless explicitly stated.

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1 Non-Excludable Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits the Organiser’s liability for:

(a) death or personal injury caused by the Organiser’s negligence;

(b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;

(c) any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under UK law.

10.2 Exclusion of Losses

Subject to clause 10.1, the Organiser shall not be liable for:

(a) loss of profit, loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss of opportunity, or any indirect or consequential losses;

(b) loss of or damage to personal property;

(c) costs incurred through travel, accommodation, or other arrangements connected with the Event;

(d) losses arising from changes to the Event programme, schedule, speakers, exhibitors, attending companies, or venue;

(e) losses arising from failure to comply with Event instructions, health and safety requirements, or venue rules.

10.3 Liability Cap

Subject to clause 10.1, the Organiser’s total aggregate liability to any attendee - whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise - shall not exceed the total amount paid for the attendee’s ticket.

10.4 Force Majeure

The Organiser shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations due to events outside its reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, power outages, industrial action, national emergencies, or government restrictions.

10.5 Attendee Responsibility

Attendees participate in the Event and any associated activities at their own risk.

It is each attendee’s responsibility to ensure they are physically able to take part in any workshops, activities, or sessions.

This clause applies to the extent permitted by UK law.

11. Amendments

The Organiser reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time.

Material changes will be communicated to attendees.
