About The Role
Purpose
In this role, you will be responsible for designing intuitive and engaging user experiences across our product portfolio. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, and product, to bring your designs to life and ensure they meet the needs of our users.
Collaborate with product and engineering to ensure design feasibility and alignment with business goals.
Create engaging, visual, and interactive user experiences that are accessible
Perform usability testing and iterate designs based on feedback and data.
Present ideas and designs and explain rationale to senior stakeholders
Document design decisions and update the relevant style guides to support the implementation of designs
Own the design and experience of the product you are working on, whilst ensuring the Lead Product Designer has oversight
Continually keep yourself updated with the latest UI and UX changes in the industry and bring this back into your designs
Supporting the Product Design Team with the day-to-day activities
While not directly interacting with customers, your actions should align with upholding the FCA's Consumer Duty principles, thereby contributing to fair and beneficial outcomes for our clients.
About You
Skills:
Ideally 3 years+ experience as a Product Designer
Understanding of user-centered design methodology
UI & UX design experience across mobile and web
Understanding of Information architecture and interaction design (sitemaps, workflows, navigational flows)
Experience creating wireframes and prototypes
Understanding of user research, usability testing, and translating insights into actionable design solutions
Creation and maintenance of design systems and pattern libraries for consistency and scalability
Ability to communicate your ideas in a clear and effective manner to both expert and non-expert audience
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a cross functional team
Experience using tools such as Figma, Adobe CS, Miro
Understanding of basic front-end languages: HTML5 and CSS3
Knowledge of WCAG 2.0 standards for Accessibility
Understanding of online usability analysis tools

Reports to the Lead Product Designer
Occasional travel may be required
