Friday 1 November, Brighton Dome
We want you to get the most out of your visit to UX Brighton.
Use this section to book discounted hotels, find out more about the day and where to eat and visit.

Pre-conf meetup – 31 Oct
In town the night before? Come to The Fountain Head Pub from 7-9pm and meet fellow delegates. It’s a relaxed pub and serves food until 9pm. Look out for Faisal, in a UX Brighton T-shirt.
Pre-event breakfast networking & coffee – 1 Nov
If you’re coming down early to the conference, Meanwhile Cafe is practically next to The Dome, open from 7am and is a great place to grab a coffee and meet fellow attendees.
Accessibility
The venue is fully accessible. We would like to ensure that all delegates are able to have access therefore should you have any special requests please try to contact us in advance so we can accommodate your needs.
Help
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns or questions, please contact a member of staff – they’ll be wearing a UX Brighton t-shirt.
We reserve the right to refuse admission.
Accommodation
Our friends at Visit Brighton have put together a comprehensive list of accommodation at specially negotiated rates for UX Brighton delegates. This website is open for bookings until 24th October 2024; we advise early booking in order to guarantee your preferred hotel.

Travel
- Parking is expensive, so if you can avoid driving, please consider travelling by train or bus.
- Travelling from overseas? Gatwick is the nearest airport. Trains take approx 30 mins to Brighton.
- We recommend using traintimes.org.uk for up-to-date train timetables.
- You can find taxis at the back of Brighton station, or it’s a 9-minute walk.
- There is no parking available at the venue. The nearest NCP is on Church Street, details are here including a pre-booking option. The next nearest is on Trafalgar Street.
Registration
- Doors will open at 9am for registration. Name badges will be arranged alphabetically by first name.
- Complimentary pastries and refreshments will be available.
- Use the Dome entrance on Church Street. It’s approx 9 mins walk from the train station
- Please note that The Dome may conduct bag searches.
- Please be seated by 9.50am so you don’t miss anything.
- We’re in the beautiful Concert Hall again, which is comfortable and very spacious.
Refreshments
- Complimentary breakfast pastries (from 9am) and fruit throughout the day.
- Coffee, tea and water will be available all day in the Foyer bar.
- Drinks can be brought through to the auditorium if they have a lid. Consider the environment and bring your own re-usuable lidded cup, and/or water bottle if possible.
- There will be 3 breaks during the day.
- Lunch is not, included, however there are loads of places to eat close to the venue; Al Duomo, All Bar One, Bellota Bar Y Tapas, The Chilli Pickle, Donatello, Food for Friends (vegetarian), Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Pinnocchio, Pizza Express (Prince Albert Street) and many, many more We recommend advance booking if you are in a large group. We will break for lunch at 12.50pm.
- Travelling to UX Brighton alone? We are arranging a ‘Lunch with Strangers’. There is a table booked from 1pm at Pizza Express, Prince Albert Street (just ask for the UX Brighton booking) - don’t be lonely, go there and meet new friends. Introverts welcome!
Cloakroom
- We have coat-racks for you to hang your coats on, but there isn’t a dedicated cloakroom.
- Ours is the only event happening at the venue on the day, and is not open to the public, however items are left at your own risk.
- Please report any lost property to the registration desk. UX Brighton & Brighton Dome takes no responsibility for delegate’s lost property so we ask you to be vigilant at all times.
Wifi
There will be wifi at the venue so feel free to tweet, insta, blog, and make notes during the day.
Charging stations
There will be several 4-ways on the Mezzanine level which is upstairs, to the right of the Foyer bar. Plug sockets are limited in the Concert Hall so we’d recommend bringing a power pack. If you’re travelling from outside the UK, remember your adaptor.
Photography & Filming
- We are filming talks again this year and will release them soon after the event on our YouTube channel.
- We have an official photographer for the day, however, you are welcome, in fact encouraged, to take your own too. We’d love to see them - see our Social Media tag for places to share them.

After Party
- Talks will finish at 5.30pm. Join us for after conference drinks in the Foyer Bar (at the venue) until 8pm.
- Keep your name badge with you if you want to leave and come back again.
- Collect your drinks voucher at registration.
- Your voucher is valid for all non-alcoholic and a selection of alcoholic drinks.
Reminder about tickets
- We are unable to issue refunds or transfers.
- Of course, you’re welcome to sell or give away your ticket - just tell the person to give the original name on the ticket, as that will be on the name badge and delegate list.
- Ticket sales end 1pm Thursday 31st October.
- Payment on the day is cash only, £450 inc vat.
