A belated Friday Thanks as I wake up with the family in Brighton after UX Brighton, following Smashing Conferences event in Antwerp. It's been a connection-fuelled, brain-buzzing week. For this week's Friday Thanks, I'd love to thank: All those that gave their feedback and connections with my talk in Antwerp. Kelly Mesut for manning the fort at home through half-term. So glad we could meet up in Brighton last night. Vitaly Friedman for the support, kind words, and invitation to the Smashing conference. It was also a great pleasure seeing you host such a great event, in your own beautiful human way. Charis Rooda 🐝✨ for tackling printing challenges, all the dry humour, and warm vibes over the past few months. John V Willshire for the talk syncing, card jamming, and lovely photos. Dee Scarano for bringing your energy, 'special' life skills, and openness to our conversations. Nathan Curtis for the vulnerable chats, reflections on my talk, noticing the error on my slide and inspiring me with your Figma plug-in success. Pablo Stanley for bringing some explosive energy and prolific brilliance to Antwerp, and then doubling it for Brighton. Tobi Lessnow for bringing warm energy and deft talk remixing to the Smashing event. And also sharing one of the most beautiful stories of US appreciation. Maggie Appleton for giving two of the best talks on AI I've seen. Wise, educational, and challenging. Gemma O'Brien for bringing a complete flip to my talk energy, and some seriously inspiring talent to proceedings. Can't wait to catch up in London and chat Neuro-stuff Harrison Wheeler for the feedback on my talk, and encouragement to do some guided meditation style audio related to my tools. Also, appreciated all your perspectives in your talk. Can't wait to watch that again soon. Christine Vallaure 🟦 🟠 🔺 for your warm energy, interest and openness related to a sensitive issue. Nick Desbarats for the valuable chart advice, and nice chats. The lovely Smashing family who were so kind, welcoming and supportive.
