It's a bit late to share, but Glenn Jones’ talk at the Edinburgh UX meetup a week ago left a lasting impression on me. Seeing recent posts from UX Brighton reminded me of his fresh perspective on conversational AI. Glenn began with ChatGPT’s UI, pointing out how a chat interface doesn’t fully capture the depth of human conversation or frame users' expectations. This resonated with me — I remember feeling uncomfortable interacting with ChatGPT’s chat-based interface. His insights highlighted the potential for generative AI to create a richer user experience by leveraging aspects of human conversation — such as tone, uncertainty, and conversational flow. For me, the key takeaway was to view new technology from multiple angles—not just with Gen Z's fast-adoption mindset but also with a critical eye for areas of improvement and interaction. My perspectives were challenged in the best way. https://www.linkedin.com/in/phuongw/Phuong W.
