Had an amazing time at UX Brighton 2025 on Friday. It was a day packed with incredible talks, great people, and plenty of fresh perspectives on how UX is evolving. From AI and economics to human centered design and a bit more. Some of my personal highlights: • Sharon Webster - on how lessons from the Arts & Crafts movement can guide us in today’s AI era, reminding us that creativity and craftsmanship still matter. • Kelly Dern - on (Vibe) Coding and the importance of becoming polymaths; expanding our skills to stay ahead in this fast-changing field. • Avinash Mair - on where UX meets business risk, and how economics can play a role in shaping strategic decisions. Every speaker shared something powerful about how we can keep evolving with the rapid pace of technology, not by resisting change, but by learning, adapting, and designing with more empathy and intention. I walked away feeling inspired, reflective, and re-energised to bring more strategy, ethics, and humanity into my design practice. Massive thanks to the UX Brighton team and all the speakers for such a thought-provoking and beautifully organised event!
