Started November with a bang at UX Brighton hashtag#UXBrighton2024! Volunteering at this incredible event wasn’t just an opportunity to meet some UX and AI legends—it was like drinking from a firehose of insights! Big thanks to Annie-Marie Page 🪴 for the chance to be part of this. Special shout-out to Sherif Sorunke , Luke Hay, Jordan R. , and Prajwal Singh —great connecting with you all! The speaker lineup was packed with knowledge bombs: Will Taylor took us on a time-traveling journey through the history of AI, showing just how far UX has come in shaping this field. Glenn Jones' “quirks and perks” of machine learning were as enlightening as they were entertaining. Hannah Beresford nailed it with strategies to tackle AI challenges in UX head-on. Manú Bartlett & Ewa Koc emphasized the magic of trust in AI. Remember: 'user-friendly' or bust! Pablo Stanley —eccentric genius—had us all glued to his take on design and AI. Philip Bonhard made AI in workload management sound delicious, and it was indeed food for thought! Maggie Appleton opened our eyes to AI-generated content and impacts on human identity - thought provoking and timely! Kwame Ferreira rounded it off with a dive into the world of synthetic vs. organic users—a balanced perspective I’ll definitely carry forward. Feeling grateful and inspired by all the knowledge, laughs, and new connections.
