Seven years ago, I decided to pursue a career in UX. As a student with a tight budget, I joined conferences as a volunteer, offering my time in exchange for a look into the UX world and opportunities to meet professionals. Last week, I found myself on the other side, this time as a speaker at UX Brighton presenting to nearly 700 people. It was both humbling and exciting to share the stage with talented designers and researchers. Stepping onto a stage to speak can be intimidating, especially in the beginning. But preparing a talk that resonated with the audience turned out to be a really rewarding experience. After months of work and research, seeing the audience engaged made all the effort worthwhile. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from this journey, it’s that persistence and believing in your abilities truly pay off. Thank you to all the incredible organizers and speakers who made this experience even more memorable: Danny Hope Annie-Marie Page 🪴 Manú Bartlett Philip Bonhard Hannah Beresford Maggie Appleton Will Taylor Glenn Jones Pablo Stanley Kwame Ferreira https://www.linkedin.com/in/ewa-koc-a26206125/Ewa Koc
