Feeling incredibly energised and inspired after a fantastic day at the UX Brighton conference! 🍣 The day was packed with critical insights into the huge shifts impacting our industry, particularly the intersections of AI, economics, and human-centred design. 💡 A powerful theme, purposely articulated by James Lang, was the call to actively choose 'hope' over 'doom'. It’s a challenge to embrace agency, seeing this moment of disruption not as a passive threat but as our active opportunity to shape what comes next. 🙌 This idea of proactive, hopeful adaptation echoed through so many of the talks. I'm leaving with a virtual notebook full of actionable ideas for the day job, and plan to synthesise these findings with my team at the University of Portsmouth 🧠 A massive thank you to all the brilliant speakers for sharing their wisdom (Avinash Mair, Sharon Webster, Oleksii Tkachenko, James Lang, Kelly Dern, Aadam Sümer, Laura Dalrymple, and Zachary Rattner) and to the whole UX Brighton team for curating such a timely and thought-provoking event. 👏 It was also wonderful to connect with so many talented peers. 🤝 Looking forward to next year! 💭 #UXBrighton #UXDesign #UXResearch #AI #UX #UR #Economics #HopefulFutures #Vibe #VibeCoding #UserExperience #Design #Networking #InspirationKristian Band
