Last week, I had the pleasure of attending UX Brighton 2025, a day full of inspiration, curiosity, and meaningful conversations about how design and AI are shaping our future. Three talks especially stood out to me: Zachary Rattner reminded us that "the worst thing we can do is doing nothing." He shared how embracing uncertainty and experimenting early can open new doors for growth and innovation. Nobody has it all figured out, and that's where the opportunity lies. Laura Dalrymple spoke beautifully about reflection and self-discovery. She encouraged us to look inward, tell our stories, and recognise that working with others often helps us see parts of ourselves we can't see alone. James Lang spoke about hope as a form of agency, not blind optimism, but the courage to shape better futures through empathy, reflection, and creative action, even in uncertain times. A huge thank you to Danny Hope for creating such a high quality, inspiring event, and to all the brilliant speakers for sharing their wisdom and energy. I left feeling hopeful. AI isn't here to replace us, but to amplify our creativity and curiosity. The future of UX belongs to those willing to explore, learn, and design with purpose. ✨Maral O.
