Odin helps people to raise and deploy capital seamlessly

We envision a world where people can vote with their money on what the future looks like, and participate in creating it.

We’re starting by making it radically easier for anyone, anywhere, to launch & run an angel syndicate or venture firm.

We handle all the “plumbing” through one seamless platform - everything from setting up the legal structure for an investment vehicle through to processing payments.

We’re already trusted by over 5,000 VCs, angels and founders, and we are just getting started.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Founders, you’ll:

  • Lead and take ownership of product design, ensuring cohesive design across all stages of product development, from conceptualisation to execution

  • Take a service design approach to designing a user experience that goes beyond what’s on-screen, considering usability across all touchpoints. Ensure that every aspect of the customer journey—including user flows, UI, communications —is optimised for both functionality and delight

  • Develop realistic prototypes and rigorously test them with users. Incorporate feedback early and often, iterating on designs to solve the right problems and deliver the best possible user experience

  • Collaborate closely with the product manager, engineers, and the wider business to integrate design throughout the entire product development process. You’ll own the design system, tools, and processes, fostering cross-team collaboration to embed design at every phase

  • Break down large features into manageable iterations, working hand-in-hand with product managers to balance delivery speed with design quality. Ensure that all design and product decisions are made with both user experience and business value in mind

  • Use data-driven insights to inform and support design decisions, leveraging user behaviour metrics such as click-through rates, session duration, drop-off points, and survey responses

  • Champion design excellence and user-centricity across the organisation. As the voice of design, you’ll advocate for user needs while collaborating with other teams to ensure a unified approach to product development

  • As the company grows, take the lead in building and scaling the design team. You’ll oversee hiring and mentoring junior designers, helping them develop the skills and expertise needed to contribute effectively to the team

Salary

The salary band for this role is £80,000 - £105,000 + equity options. While this range may seem wide, it reflects that we'll consider where your experience falls within our framework.

Your Qualities

  • Naturally curious and driven to understand the “why” behind everything. Whether it’s uncovering why humans behave a certain way, why a customer suggested a specific solution, or the root cause of a problem, intellectual humility drives you to question assumptions and dig deeper for meaningful insights

  • Hold yourself to a high standard and care deeply about the quality of your designs. Strive to create experiences that are not only functional but also delightful, ensuring that every detail contributes to an exceptional customer experience

  • Strong empathy and a deep understanding of human behaviour. Approach feedback—whether positive or negative—without judgment, always focusing on improving the user experience

  • Take full ownership of your work, demonstrating tenacity and resilience. Communicate clearly with your team and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and continuous progress as projects move forward

  • Prioritise effectively, focusing on what will have the most significant impact. Commercially minded, always balancing creativity with business needs, and ensuring that designs solve problems while contributing to overall business success

  • Approach problems with strong reasoning and first-principles thinking. Capable of handling big, ambiguous challenges by breaking them down methodically and applying common sense to find effective solutions

  • As a creative thinker, willing to take risks and experiment with new ideas. Understand that great design often requires thinking outside the box and are comfortable being wrong in the pursuit of better solutions

  • A strong sense of what makes good design, both functionally and visually. Not satisfied with designs that merely solve problems—aim for something that is both beautiful and intuitively right for users

Your Experience

Must-Have

  • At least 5 years of experience as a designer and have a track record as a Senior Designer or higher

  • Worked across different environments—whether in an agency or within multiple companies—bringing a broad perspective to your design practice

  • Hands-on experience in UX and UI design, prototyping, and running usability tests with real users

  • Know how to gather feedback and iterate based on user insights to improve the final product

  • A demonstrated ability to work independently and drive design initiatives from concept to completion with minimal guidance

  • Led projects and influenced design strategy within a team

  • Excel at creating clear, comprehensive design documentation and establishing standardised processes that ensure consistency and quality across design outputs

  • Experience working closely with engineers and product managers, aligning design with technical and business requirements

  • Know how to balance the creative vision with the practicalities of development to deliver a cohesive and effective product

Nice-to-Have

  • A strong understanding of technical constraints and possibilities, ensuring that your designs are both innovative and implementable. You collaborate closely with engineers to turn your ideas into reality

You won’t be a good fit if

  • Your expertise and interest are focused solely on UI design without a strong understanding of UX and product design as a whole

  • You have experience with UX/UI but lack strength in visual design, especially in creating polished, aesthetically pleasing interfaces

  • You prefer not to interact with users directly or avoid gathering feedback from users to inform and improve your designs
