# UXDB — transparency note

Internal note for the UK GDPR transparency / legitimate-interests assessment. Not legal advice.

## Purpose

Publish a professional catalogue of UX conference speakers, events and sessions so people can find talks and find UX Brighton 2026.

## Data

Public fields are listed in `uxdb/public-schema.json`. We do not publish operator scores, status, notes, Potential speakers, sponsor contacts or prospecting fields.

Sources are conference websites, published schedules, slides, videos and speaker sites. Combining those sources is still processing personal data.

## Lawful basis

Legitimate interests: documenting a public professional circuit and promoting UX Brighton events.

## Transparency

- Site privacy policy section for the catalogue
- `/uxdb/about/` methodology, sources, correction and removal
- `/uxdb/standards/` publication fitness (speakers need at least one public session)
- Contact: support@uxbri.org

## Rights

People can ask for correction or removal. The public export is regenerated after operator records change (`npm run uxdb:public`).

## Risk reductions

- Exclude unverified Potential speakers
- Server-side public projection, not tab-hiding
- Link to originals instead of republishing media we do not have rights to
- No private email or sales fields
