Role

  • As a UX designer at Supersolid you will be responsible for championing great user experience in our games, working in collaboration with stakeholders across all disciplines to design and develop user flows aimed at our games’ target audiences

  • You will be responsible for user experience design and implementation for both live and new games

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Game Design, Product, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and define UX goals for your tasks

  • Break down your design process into work phases, deliverables, and work estimates

  • Use low-fidelity design methods to produce a broad range of solutions. Share ideas for feedback, questions, feasibility, and to evaluate the pros and cons against project goals

  • Deliver detailed documentation, wireframes, user flows, prototypes and animated pre-vis that communicate the intended player experience to communicate design requirements to the wider development team

  • Ensure UX design consistency and re-use by leveraging existing UX paradigms, knowing when to establish new design conventions and patterns

  • Partner with UI artists and developers throughout visual development and implementation. Communicate UX requirements and proactively drive UI feedback

  • Work closely with artists and engineers to implement screen layouts, functionality and animations to a high shippable standard

  • Engage in design reviews and feedback sessions. Present your designs for feedback, and give feedback to other UX team members (including developers and UI artists)

  • Plan and conduct usability tests to evaluate the effectiveness of design solutions and gather feedback for improvements.

  • Stay up to date with the latest UX design trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies. Apply this knowledge to push the boundaries of user experiences across Supersolid’s titles

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in a UX or UX/UI design role working on free to play mobile games

  • Familiarity with all stages of development, from prototyping to supporting live games via improvements and new feature development

  • Experience using UX tools such as Figma

  • Experience using Unity

Superpowers (not essential but nice to have)

  • Experience using rapid prototyping tools to enable reviews and user testing on device

  • Previous experience with agile development methodologies and tools
